Leaside Kitchen Table

The Kitchen Table is a new missional community being formed in the Leaside neighborhood of Toronto.

We consider ‘The kitchen table’ to be a contemporary metaphor for the Kingdom of God. It is a place where we gather together as members of one family, share our joys and concerns, offer our prayers, seek to intentionally impact our neighborhood and of course, have food, fun and fellowship!

At present a prayer group is meeting at one of our homes on Monday evenings at 7:30 p.m. This is a time for intercession for the neighborhood and special prayer for individuals going through difficult situations.

We are working towards a weekly gathering with emphasis on group discussions and Q&A where truth-seekers will be encouraged to explore the Christian faith.  We are also trying to create awareness of our presence in the neighborhood through promotional campaigns, volunteer participation with local charities, sponsoring community events etc.
