Halifax Alliance Missional Community

Warm Maritime greetings from us!

We want to introduce ourselves, share the burden that God has placed on our hearts, and ask that you would pray about your involvement this New Venture.

We both came to the Lord and attended Alliance churches growing up in the Prairies.  As we prayed about various career opportunities, we felt incredible peace about moving to the Maritimes, even though all our family is from out West.  When we relocated to Halifax, Nova Scotia in 2005 for work, we just fell in love with this place and its people.  God's lead for us to come here was unmistakable and undeniable right from the beginning.  Since we moved here, our family has grown from just being the two of us as He as blessed us with two sons and a daughter.

One thing that has been heavy on our hearts since coming to Halifax was a sense of purpose greater than just work and raising a family.  Early in 2009, we sensed that God was leading us to start an Alliance ministry in Halifax.  Little by little, we see glimpses God's plan unfolding, but we still don't have the full picture so we are seeking it prayerfully.  

We know that we're not here just by chance, and that you haven't surfed onto this page by chance either.  Whether you are a Haligonian for life, passing by for a short time or have relocated here for school, work, or retirement, we know that you are in the Halifax area for a reason.  We pray that you would feel the same way too, and that you would feel a burden for this area.

We invite you to join us as we go on this journey and grow together as a family in Christ, share each other's burdens, and discover and discern God's plan for Halifax.  We will begin meeting as an Alliance missional community every first Sunday of the month from 4:30-7:00 pm to pray, fellowship, and share a meal together.  We would love for you to come join us at the table!
